About the game

Sea of Remnants is a free-to-play ocean-fantasy open-world RPG developed by Joker Studio and published by NetEase Games.

Players take the role of a puppetfolk sailor who has lost their memories. The journey moves between open-sea exploration, island adventures and the pirate city of Orbtopia.

The game mixes:

  • naval exploration and ship combat;
  • land-based battles;
  • fleet building and customization;
  • open-world exploration;
  • companion recruitment;
  • choices that reshape Orbtopia and its inhabitants.

NetEase's latest official materials say the game features more than 400 companions.

Release status

Sea of Remnants is currently planned for PC and PlayStation 5 in 2026.

An exact release date has not been announced yet.

A global PC closed alpha, called the Wanderer Test, ran in February 2026. Global pre-registration is now open on the official website.
