The The Stone Beasts, Like Ghouls Seated World Quest puzzle appears during the On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb quest series in Genshin Impact Version 7.0. The objective shown in the quest is “Find a way to open the door to the royal hall.”

The solution is to place all four winged beast statues on the glowing blue square platforms around the Frozen Royal Hall. Two of the statues are straightforward, while the others require using chandeliers to melt or restore ice structures and create a route.

Where this puzzle appears

This section takes place in the Frozen Royal Hall at Pale Crown Palace. The official HoYoWiki World Quest collection lists On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb as a Version 7.0 World Quest series in Pale Crown Palace.

If your current objective is “Find a way to open the door to the royal hall,” you are at the correct puzzle.

Statue 1 — lower hallway

Start with the statue in the lower corridor.

  1. Shoot the chandelier above the route to melt the ice pillars blocking the path.
  2. Create ice cubes beside and behind the statue. These act as blockers so the statue stops in the correct lane.
  3. Push the statue toward the blockers until it is aligned with the long central corridor.
  4. Push it straight down the corridor until it lands on its glowing blue platform.

In the video, this statue is solved from about 00:08 to 01:05.

Statue 2 — upper floor

The second statue is much quicker.

  1. Remove the heat source beside the target area.
  2. Place an ice cube behind the glowing blue platform to create a stopping point.
  3. Push the statue toward the blocker so it stops directly on the platform.

This section is shown around 01:10–01:22.

Statue 3 — side balcony

The third statue needs the ice structures in the hallway to be changed more than once.

  1. Shoot the central chandelier to melt the ice pillars blocking the route.
  2. Push the statue into the corner so it is aligned with the side corridor.
  3. Shoot the ice block at the far end of the hallway, then push the statue along the wall.
  4. Shoot the chandelier again. The restored ice pillar lifts the statue to the higher level.

The important step is the final chandelier shot: the ice pillar is not just an obstacle here — it becomes the lift that raises the statue.

This part is shown around 02:24–02:54.

Statue 4 — upper balcony

For the final statue:

  1. Shoot the chandelier to melt the ice pillar currently holding the statue up.
  2. Push the statue onto the icy ledge route toward the corner.
  3. Continue pushing it across the ice floor.
  4. Line it up with the remaining glowing blue platform and push it into place.

The last statue is positioned during 03:03–03:43.

What happens when all four statues are placed

Once all four statues are standing on their corresponding glowing blue platforms, the puzzle completes automatically. At about 03:44, the screen fades and a dialogue scene with Aksinya begins, confirming that the royal hall route has been opened and the quest can continue.
