Path of Exile 2 now has a full 1.0 release date. During gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, Grinding Gear Games announced that the game will leave its current paid Early Access phase and launch as a free-to-play title on December 11, 2026.

The reveal card shows the launch target for:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X|S

From Early Access to full release

Path of Exile 2 originally entered Early Access on December 6, 2024. The Steam page also notes that the game is expected to be free-to-play once it exits Early Access.

That makes the gamescom announcement especially important: it finally gives players the exact day when the 1.0 launch is scheduled to happen.

For Game-M, this is a clear release calendar update and one of the biggest ARPG date reveals from Opening Night Live.
